Need help - 197 questions

Right couldn't get the 197 rolling roaded yesterday, so booked in again for next saturday, however, i need to know the following:

The gear ratio of the 197 and/or the direct gear which is 1:1;

and also the diff ratio of the 197 (also known as final drive ratio or axle ratio).

Also the above of a meggy 225 if anyone knows?



If anyone knows the above or knows where to find out that would be great... tried renault uk and dealers and they couldn't find it out

Is that the 1000rpm thing? Cos if so, thats not what i need to know - thats what renault uk kept coming up with

I had mine RR'd in 5th gear yesterday, unsure on the final drive ratio though!

you get 5.19mph in first gear and 8.48mph in second, The four remaining ratios give speeds of 11.14, 13.70. 16.09 and 18.94mph per 1000 rpm

Cheers guys, but thats not quite what i'm after... for example these are for the 225:


1 = 0,3171
2 = 0,5143
3 = 0,7179
4 = 0,9474
5 = 1,2353
6 = 1,4848
Final = 0,2456



Does that make sense to anyone? Its the gear ratio and not per 1000rpm apparently!!
