my gearbox just went need some help please

the gearbox just went in my clio 172 cup 52 plate is the normal 172 gearbox the same as the 172 cup and what is the speedo drive? and should it have one?

You will need a speedo drive box as the 172cup runs it speedo dial off the gearbox,
non cup 172s run it off the (ABS) brake system.

my replacement JC5 130 had 60k and cost me £275 from a breakers and that was after haggling.

yeah that is a good price where about do you live? dont suppose you have a pair of drive shafts as well?

As it happens I do, from a 172 cup on 60k. £50 each for drive shafts. Im about 4 miles from Lincoln town centre
