Msn virus help!!

im lost! whenever i talk to people they get this message

HOT!HOT! **INSERT LINK HERE BUT IM NOT GONNA POST IT SO YOU LOT DONT CLICK ON IT* ITS SOME SORT OF PORNY LINK

Anyone know how to get rid?

I take it that's a link to the virus? lol Just asking incase it is because I don't want to click it and get it too. Won't your anti-virus shift it?

nope anti virus didnt pick it up, i changed it now so ppl wont click on it

Which anti-virus are you using? I had the same problem when I lived at my mum's. Sister decided download that blocker checker thing, it was there for months because my anti-virus wouldn't pick it up. I changed to AVG and that picked it up.

Hmmm! no idea then mate! I'd probably just resort to reinstalling windows in the end if I couldn't shift it but I don't really have anything important on my computer.

Sure someone more computer literate will be along to help eventually.

AVG isn't a great anti virus program. Download a trial of kaspersky or nod32 and scan your comp again. If you want to keep it free go for avira.

Viruses are so tricky to get rid of nowadays it's just a lot quicker and cleaner to reinstall windows, then make sure you do all the security updates and be a lot more careful what you click on from then on ;-)

well i hve just done a whole wipe of vista and it aint doing it now :S.. so i cant be a bot.. plus i haven added anyone for weeks!!!

I ended up with a Trojan Downloader of some sort, everytime I went online it searched the net and downloaded more and more viruses on to my computer. Nothing I tried would shift it, in the end I just had to reinstall windows to get rid of it.
