Clio172cup, Scirocco
im having all the luck in the world with this car....
so recap, got a cup 172, and had a breakdown- alternator was buggered. no fear, ordered a new after some faffing with part numbers and now have a solid 14.7 volts charging. lovely.
been fine for a few days and got reversed into today in a car park while i was sat in the car.
i drove back an hour later to get a better pic of the damage on his car and when i tried to restart my car the starter just clicked wildly like it was out of battery!!!
for gods sake, got a mate to jump me and checked charge rate and still at 14.6 volts so susp either starter or battery.
so my question, are these common for starters?
and are the starters all the same, be it cup 172, 182 or whatever?
