Adam, what the hell do you do?

I'm guessing you've come from somewhere fairly well off to have the golf at 17? (I don't mean to pry).

Anyway, I've actually had a few cars now...

So, in order of ownership:

My first car, got me started on cliosport, was a great little 1.2 8v, cost me a fortune in repairs but you live and learn:

Second car: Modded the life out of this one, honestly loved this car and could have kept it forever.

This was a bit of a random choice, but I've always wanted a 3 series. Lovely condition this car:

The current car, loving this too:

Same. Sooooooooooo boring compared to the Leons, which rather surprisingly, both looked fantastic!!

Lol cheers, atm interior > exterior. Since Christmas I have done 8k - and the clock is showing 263 hours of driving.... :(

Adam, what the hell do you do?

I'm guessing you've come from somewhere fairly well off to have the golf at 17? (I don't mean to pry).

I wouldn't say I've had it handed to me. I've worked hard from a young age and everything I have has been paid for 100% out my own pocket.

Never noticed that your 200 didn't have the Cup chassis? Did you spec it like that?

Seems a weird choice, given the rest of the option on it!

I didn't like the red calipers and didn't actually notice the quickrack on the test drive so I didn't see the point in spending £400 on cup chassis when coilovers were always going to happen.

I never spec'd cup chassis on the original white 200 I ordered either!

I then wanted more power so I upgraded to a 1.6 when I got a full time job (I loved this car):

101_0122edit.jpg

Then I wanted something a bit newer so went for an ibiza formula sport:

Then I sold that and got a zetec s fiesta:

Which ended up as:

100_0628.jpg

Then I needed a car quick so I got another 1.6 clio and did a few bits and bobs to it and it ended up as:

SAM_0229 by theycallmepaul, on Flickr

And then I got the ST:

And now I have itchy feet again so who knows what will come next!

Purchased a 172 cup but wasn't to keen on paying silly insurance + it wasn't in the best of condition although it drive fantastic.

Currently driving a 170BHP A3 which is amazing, I really like it. (wheels are going soon)

Fancy something German again for my next car but insurance is still silly as I'm under 20 :( , Hopefully get an S3 or an rs4 in a year :)

I didn't say you had mate, I just assumed to have the first car at 17 you must have come from a family with a bit of ££ ;) (my bad)

You didn't answer me though, what do you do? (I want a bit of that action) lol

Al_G - Awesome S2k!

Adam, how funny (I remember now, my memory sucks).

I'm looking at taking on a s**t load of freelance drawing work as the money seems good if you can find it.

Thanks guys, the ZS might just be one of the best cars I've ever driven. I had it for 4 years (2003 -2007) and loved every second.

Here's a few more of the s2k which I've had for 2 years and have no plans to get shot for a long time to come (epic in every way!)...

Love the ZS, Al_G

Towb, spec a zs up nicely and you've got a top motor.

Btw, no shame in having your first car bought for you, seems to be a stigma on here about it at times!

I'd love one! I know I'd spunk so much money into it though.

They are pretty bullet proof and don't cost much to run with the exception of insurance and road tax.

I'd advise against boost or supercharging it as it's ropey enough unless the roads are bone dry.

You don't need to go fast to have fun :)
