Ok, i've got something of a strange fault.
Put my Sony Memory stick (from Digital camera) into the card reader on my HP Laptop. Look in my computer and sure enough, there sits an icon for "Memory stick (F)" just as you'd expect to see. However, double click on it and it says "Please insert disk into drive F"
If i take the card out, icon disapears.
There is a write protect type slider on the card, hvaen't ever moved it before!! but tried it in what seems to be std position and in w/p and doesn't make any difference.
With card in camera i can do basically everything i'd expect to be able to do.
Any thoughts??
