Knocking/dragging on full lock

  Golf GT TDI, IS220d
Hi, i get a type of dragging feel/sound and a knocking sound when im turning on full lock at low speed. Anybody had this b4? Car is a 182, lowered on sportlines (if that could be somthing to do with it) Could it be a driveshaft problem?

Usually the top mounts - one of mine is shagged to pieces and it sounds like it!

mine is exactly the same.

edit - just read another thread, seems its normal!

Finally solved mine :D

Basically mine was doing this on full lock it felt like the wheel was slipping and I got a juddering sensation and pulling out of junctions was causing my a lot of grief. So I changed both top mounts to no change :(

After taking my car to Mark Fish we checked the geometry and whether the springs were sitting in right to which all was well. Also I checked myself for play in the bearings checked the subframe was fine etc.

Mark explained to me that on full lock that one tyre is always turned in more and you get more toe in/out (can't rember much but I have a diagram lol!) he suggested the rounded edge of my tyres could be causing this. (part worn Eagle F1's but plenty of tread)

So in the last ditch attempt I swapped my tyres round and I'll be dammed its stopped! Even in the rain!

My car is also lowered on Eibach Sportlines like many of the other that suffer from this issue.

I refused to believe that this was normal as mine never did this before! I hapily did 30k last year without this issue on full lock so now I am one happy bunny and love my car again!!

Thanks to Mark Fish for all his time and advise :)
