JDM Y0 - My new project **** PG36 - Breaking ****

Re: JDM Y0 - My new project - *** New rocker cover - PG12 ***

erm its having a new clutch on thursday along with new poly bushes on the engine and gearbox mounts.

After that its new tyres.

Then ill be on the hunt for a new manifold, Bpipe and Kpro, as well as an RBC inlet even though the current PRC is better than the UK spec one, RBC rules!

Sounds good there was a red one on CTRO that was unbelievable. Pretty sure it sold at the start of the year though.

RBC's are a great £ to bhp mod, good for anywhere between 5-10bhp with kpro and they make very distinctive sound. your plans sound nice.

I heard a rumor the Spoon rockers are Honda items painted yellow by Spoon, never seen the attraction myself.

Love the rocker cover dude. Looks nice and fresh again.

I'm sure you'll get some pictures up when it's fitted ;)

new clutch went in a treat :) Also had ES Engine Mount Inserts and a Powerflex Gearbox Mount Insert fitted. Really stiffened up the engine, bit more vibration now though :)

While under the car Stevie also fit front and rear super pro bushes to my ARB's

Car feels awesome, clutch was well worn, the wear indicators were pretty much near all gone.

He also helped with my slack accelerator cable and sorted my squeeky aux pulley :)

Top job :)

Re: JDM Y0 - My new project - *** New clutch PG13 ***

Any clues that it was on its way out .

I have been told crunching can be one .

My one is on 108 K and do not know if it has been done . Bite point is low and no slipping so may be new ish

That is a good price .

When this one goes will have a look . Where are they ?

They don't really slip, just one day sometimes they can just go!

Eightspeed have an offer of £375.99 fitted on clutches :)

Looks tidy. Especially with the red bolts. Subtle touch.

Re: JDM Y0 - My new project - *** New rocker cover fitted PG14***

Yeh, took a long time to fit the ones around the engine bay.

Will hopefully fit my new discs and pads soon.

Next is some new tyres, and then a complete overhaul of the suspension and geo - ready for the ring in may :)

What tyres are you going for? I quite liked the V12 EVO's on my 197.

Re: JDM Y0 - My new project - *** New rocker cover fitted PG14***

Ive looked at the hankook v12's, around £275 for all 4 + fitting in 215/45/17

Although i loved my conti sport contact 3's i had last time, although around £100 extra.

Could be tempted to get something abit more aggressive, ive also looked at Federal RSR's

I did a few trackdays on the V12's and they were great, especially for the money.

Yeah, I'm getting some more in the spring. I'm not exactly a shy driver either, my tyres have to work for a living lol.

Re: JDM Y0 - My new project - *** New rocker cover fitted PG14***

conti sport 3's - loved them on my last ep3
Hankook v12's - good reviews on here and by Ste, and much cheaper!
