Hi all

After owning a c2 vts, a Leon Cupra r and an mx-5, I started looking for something new, after bait of thought a Clio sport was decided on, had around £2k to spend so decided to buy a good condition 172, rather than the bottom of the 182 market,

so couple of pictures after I first bought it

Was completely standard and overall in very good condition with no work needed. Started with afew subtle changes, a carbon wrapped front diamond, put my private plates on, and a pair of heko wind deflector, took it for its first (and so far last) track day in Anglesey

only things I've done since are silver tech bulbs all round, a 3/4 front plate, soda splitter not yet fitted, also bought a set of 182 cup alloys, had them refurbished and fitted with maxis tyres, seems decent enough for price, anybody else used them?

recently spraying diamond and bullet's in a dark grey to try and match wheels, job isn't great but will do before I buy some carbon wrapped pieces.

future plans are eibach lowering springs, much needed as its very high ATM, and an exhaust at some stage, probably a ktec,

Nice car, looks a bit high on the 182 wheels for some reason though as you say. I'm not sure if Eibachs would bring it down that much but they are the best for handling. Cooksports might be a good compromise.

Looked equally as high on 172 alloys for some reason too, handles are rides like it should so not sure of the reason it looks like it does! A friend is selling me his eibach pro's so will see what there like then if not like you said try the cooksports.
