I need to move my whole library to a new laptop. Now i know if i plug it in to the new laptop it will sync and all my music will be lost so...I could copy all my music over but when i plug in my iPhone in would i loose all my applications and contacts? Do i need to move these across somehow too?

move the whole itunes folder to a setination of your choice on new laptop..open itunes while holding shift and select the itunes library folder in the itunes folder that you moved..

I cant sync with the old laptop to transfer my new purchases accross before i transfer the folder.

If i transfer the folder then plug in the iPhone for the first time will it transfer tehse accross?
