Is there any chance that water can mix with oil in the oil seperator?

  RB 182
I know I'm clutching at straws but is there any water passing through the oil seperator channels if the gasket is not sealed properley? - Just before I take the head off :S

that looks quite bad, you do get a bit of water in there sometimes (condensation) if theyve been stood for ages

never seen a failed head gasket on one

  anything i get
are you losing any coolant/water ? checked the dipstick for signs ?
Also have you checked the housing on the end of the head where the thermostat is ?
As above , not seen a failed headgasket on one either , not on its own without something else causing it.

As above, check the housing on the side of the head, if possible renew that gasket/seal in there.
