Ipod to aux cable?

What's the difference between these 2 cables?

I just want ipod to cd player aux jack in my car.

Will they both do the same thing except they will be plugged into the ipod differently?

They look like they do the same thing but using a different connector on the iPhone.

I plug my iPod into my cd player USB slot but can only control iPhone with cd player, think mines has a aux plug at back of cd player - then hopefully can use iPhone to control my tunes

If it has a standard aux jack (which it will) front or rear then yes.

Neither of these will work with a standard head unit- the aux in on the back of an update list (no aux in on tuner list, just digital cd changer connector) is a mini iso connector, 6 pin green.

I got a simple 3.5 jack to 3.5 jack and it works mint.
