Immobiliser lights



Just about finished the 172 conversion. I have done the inside first and to make sure everything was working I had to wire in the engine bay loom. Out of interest I plugged the ECU in to check the immobiliser light and at first it was flashing now it just stays on solid. The engine isn't fitted yet so obviously a lot of plugs not connects not sure how this would effect it all earths were connected. I have heard if the ECU is out for a while they can need resynced any truth or first hand experience of this and how much it costs or any tips on a diy method?

Also wondering what exactly the lights mean. I remember reading a thread ages ago which said if the light is on solid it is for one particular reason think if the light flashes rapidly it means it is not recognising a key?
