I REALLY NEED UR HELP PEOPLE!!!

ive got a clio rt, j reg! wen it hits about 3k revs it starts squeeking really bad! if i take it thro the gear up to 5k the note of the squeek changes but is louder

its only recently its occured, but it doesnt squeek wen i rev it from engine bay,it will only squeek at standstill if it hits the restrictor!

but wen its moving, any gear it is squeekin it! pls help i got a 3hr drive this wkend! cud it be gearbox oil? if so where do i fill it?

What kind of squeeking ?? could it be the aux belt slipping or is it a whining ?

its not a belt slippin kinda noise!

more of a revolving whine, than a slippin belt squeek

Does it change note when you turn left or right ? Does it seem to come from one side or the engine ?

Have a mate rev it until you can hear the noise and try and find where its coming from !!

nah dusnt change note when i change direction! i seem 2 think it comes from passanger side of car!

tried 2 trace the noise but the engines 2 loud lol

where on the car do u fill the gearbox oil? cos i have a leak under the car and its a nice rich yellow oil! im assumin its the box oil cos my engine oil is pretty sh*tty

Could be brake pads need replacing, thats what it was on mine.

nah its neither of them!

i no wot both of them sound like! wheel bearing makes a droning noise! mine is more hi pitched!!

The gearbox should have a filler plug on the side of it !!

Erm yeah, the noise I had was very high pitched as the brake pads where totally worn
