HY05 XGG: Need Help With History..

the belts were not replaced 110%, i was stood there when he done it, they did check them over though, i know nothing about cars, but why would they need replacing if they had only covered 2k miles since they got put in anyway, changing the dephaser pulley isnt going to damage the belts surely? I appreciate that every one says they should be replaced which is fair enough I dont know enough to comment, but why exactly is this?

Excuse me! Hope that isn't some sort of innuendo! Not about liquid yellow, its nice don't get me wrong, just everyone sucks it off like its the best colour ever, petrol blue.. now that's where its at! Or resprayed in white
