I've still got the cleaning kit for the K&N cotton filter from my previous car, is it ok to use it for the yellow foam filter from k-tec? I've removed it after 10k and it doesn't seem very dirty, the K&N was A LOT dirtier, with mosquitos, pieces of leaves etc...
I'm following the K&N istructions (tap the filter, spray the cleaner, let it soak, tap water at very low pressure until it's clean, let it dry for a few hourse, spray the oil)
Maybe this is a lot less restricive and it filters less?
I read that I must use very few oil after it's dry...
