How loud is a standard 182 exhaust with the centre section?

I have a 182 and the exhaust has a crack in it on the back end of the centre section and i've had no luck in finding a replacement at a reasonable cost so i'm considering replacing it with bit of pipe, but, how loud is it likely to be?

Also, is there any other common places for the exhaust to blow from as it only blows under load, which is obviously hard to create when led beneath it?
