High mileage question

Hi folks

I get my 172 serviced regularly etc. What mileage can I expect to get out of it before it wants retiring or a massive failure occurs?? I'm on 144K at the moment.. No real issues at the mo except normal wear and tear stuff. I do about 30 k miles a year. I've seen a few threads saying that they can last for miles and miles. Is that wishful thinking or is it true?

As per the other thread mate, it could last another 100k or blow up tomorrow.

General idea is if you look after it, service is with the correct bits, dont thrash it from cold, it should last fine


highest one iv seen was 204k

Dave is on 180k + millage is nothing with a good service history.
