Hi

  Ph1 172 & Saab 9-5
Hi, new member here. I've just bought ph1 172 for £500 on ebay. It's cheap for a reason, it needs alot of work including clutch, cambelt, dephaser and other bits and bobs. My aim is to keep it a summer car for a bit of fun after i've put it back to standard.

It's not the only car in the house, I also have a Saab 9-5 and my wife is awaiting delivery of a new Fiesta. You'll most likely see me in the classifieds mostly.

Thanks for the welcome all. I don't actually have many/any images of my cars of the years, i've always been too busy fixing them or driving them to stop and take photo's. These days I prefer the stealth look so never really buy anything interesting enough to bother with a photographic record.

I did take my Saab in for some hardware fitting and ECU fettling today which means it's now running as a stage 3, almost 300hp and 330ft/lbs. It's not a drivers car by any stretch but i have spent the afternoon blatting around dual carriageways and county lanes. 30 to 120 (a broad range I know) in a straight line is comical. Suspension is next for the Saab I think as the new power has highlighted a few issues.

My car history also includes a Legnum VR4 and a track prepped 205 Mi16 which i'm still paying bills for, I sunk probably £12k into that car in my naive youth, it could have been amazing but I sold it for a song in a tantrum. You live and learn though I suppose.

Let me try and find some photo's...

Been doing some cleaning today and I managed to grab a set of wheels to replace the hideous BBS items that were on the car.
