HELP. Dark spots of water/oil coming out of exhaust.

  Inferno 182 FF
Picked up my 182 last week and noticed that over 5200rpm the rear screen mists up. This stops happening after a couple of blasts. There was dark spots all over the window and bumper. Thought it could be dirty water from the exhaust, but alarm bells are ringing. What should i do and what is it.

Thanks

Slightly black spots should just be soot from inside the exhaust mixing with the condensation and when you put your foot down it sprays some of this out the back.

If it is thick black then it sounds like you have problems.

Does it do it all the time or just when the exhaust is cold?

It doesn't do it all the time. At the begining of a run. I always warm car up thoroughly. Just really worried about it. Exhaust is going soon because it is starting to rust and rattle! It doesnt feel like oil when i wipe it from the car, just dirt.

im not sounding stupid when i say this (or trying not to), but have u cleaned the car since this has happened and then tried to make the fault re-occur?
i only say this cause i find it strange to beleive that it would come from the exhaust as the air is gettin forced in a horizontal direction past the point of the rear screen, so it has a hell of a job to come back on itself and change direction. but i may very well be wrong!!!!

^ How does your rear screen get wet when driving in the rain at speed then? Think about it! Its turbulence

You are very wrong ;) my 2nd 182 used to spray stuff all over the rear screen when the engine was up to temperature but the exhaust was cold.

My mate called me about this the other day, he has a 182.
It is normal, as said, it's just condensation that has built up inside the exhaust, then obviously when the exhaust gets hot, the condensation evaporates and takes some of the black soot from exhaust with it.
The air flow over the car at high speeds is without a doubt going to be turbulent rather than laminar, therefore the gas will be drawn back on itself when leaving the tailpipe.

Thats why the exhausts rot away, all the water sat inside them until you give it abit of a blast.
Normal don't worry.

got a 182 system that i took off last week, sounds like there's about 2 litres in there. It sloshes about like nothing you've ever seen in an exhaust.
When i worked at Ford we had an escort with a frozen exhaust in the winter. There was so much water in it, it had blocked the exhaust solid and wouldnt start. Owned by an old guy who only drove a few miles a week.

We towed it into the workshop, left it for a few hours to thaw and it started up and chucked gallons of brown water out the back, along with some lumps of ice, Lol
