heating problem

hey guys and girls iv got a 2002 clio sport 172 and only blows cold air when on max heat i know this is a common problem but this is the first time this has happened to me and its my 5th clio lol am i right in saying its either the matrix or the hot,cold flap is stuck? i no were the matrix is n is easy to do but duno were or how to check the the lil flap can some one point me in the right direction on this as dnt realy wana drain the coolant n check the matrix untill iv checked the easier/less messy stuff first

top man! the electric motor has given up the ghost or wiring no sure didnt look that far in to it just gona reach down n use my finger for now lol cheers for the help
