Great stuff Brake Caliper gone.. how much?

so my cars M.O.T was due! hand brake hadnt benn holding for a few months! so tightend it up ready for its M.O.T, still slipping when on a hill, long story short sent it in for M.O.T and it failed.

Turns out rear brake Caliper needs replacing. ohh dear me how expensive are they!!!! anyone else had this issue?

i ended up paying 179 pound for a new one fitted!

is this a good price? i thought it was bloody expensive!!!

you shudve got a reconditioned caliper...about £80

Or stripped and rebuilt your "broken" one.
There really is nothing in a brake calliper that will break.
New seals = peanuts.
