Google search problem

Every time i do a google search the page comes up with loads of strange symbols . the only thing i can make out is http 404. this is also the same when i try and go on youtube. ive done virus scans and computer restore to when it was fine but nothing works. please can someone help its doing my head in.

try a different browser and see if thats ok.

Also make sure you have not got any odd dns settings or proxy settings
