Gearbox Oil 80w90 Can I use it?

  1.6 ZS + Clio 182 FF
I was rooting around in my garage the other day and I found an unopened 5l bottle of valvoline 80w90 gearbox oil. I think my mate might have given it to me when he sold his corsa.

I had a search on here for what type of oil you use in a 182 and the general consensus is to use 75w90.

Is there much difference between 75w90 and 80w90? Would it be OK to use?

Cheers!

Its the specification standard and will be on the back on the bottle somewhere

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
I've used it in boxes that have started to crunch, usually delays the inevitable box change for a while

Also, 80w is not as fluid at cold temps as 75w, so in the cold winter months you may find the gearshift baulky untill the box warms up.

Cheers
