I have a 1.4 1998 mk1 phase 3 clio sport. About 6 months ago I made the silly mistake off buying Red Dot fast road pads. From this point I have had bad screeching problems when the brakes are hot. For example, after harsh braking the screeching will occur at any speed and any pressure on the brakes. So, as part of my MOT failure I had the front pads changed, greased up and cleaned calipers, rear shoes and cyclinders changed, etc.
But after a month the screeching has started to re-occur. I am now starting to think the discs need to be replaced as it is causing excessive wear to the inside of the pads.
Could I have any views on what you think the problem is please?
