forged rods?

Anyone heard anything good or bad about these rods? They look well made from descent process and material for the money, as good as Ktec forged rods anyway.

All these "cheap chinese" rods are much of a muchness IME.

Just check them for weight and piston pin clearance when you buy them as if you end up with a couple from one batch and a couple from another they can vary.

There riffle drilled also that's a good thing

what's riffle drilling?
I googled it and it comes up with gun drilling?

Means they're drilled from the big end up to the little end to provide lubrication to the gudgeon pin. The VAG boys get all hormonal about it if they aren't done. Personally my 360bhp LCR lasted fine without.

They don't come with bolts so they don't actually look that cheap when you add some ARP bolts in.

The ktec and ed ones do come with ARP bolts.

Yeah Dan your right, the Small end can get a little chattery with out riffle rods, esp if big power,

You tend to find the cheap rods dont have this
