can any one tell me if having a renault sign on your number plate is an offence i just got a fixed penalty £30 what a bumer

I think it was an excuse as your digits etc are illegaly spaced and the font is incorrect I think. Certain areas are doing a big crackdown on this plus i cant see a BS kitemark. ......Bad luck mate i think that was a bit petty as its not OTT.

basically the copper said im not aloud to have the renault sign on my number plate that is what i got the tickit for

I believe you are only allowed the EU symbol and the letters GB to the left of the plate, legally anyway.

Yes its illegal to have a Renault badge on the plate, but thats very petty - the copper mustve been having a slow day...

National badges, e.g. St Andrews Cross, Welsh Dragon, etc are legal AFAIK.
