Well anyone that knows me will know that Ive been intending to lower my car for pretty much 2 years now, so today I actually did it (after having the springs for 2 months-Cheers R3OBC)

Before

After (Still to settle!)

Im really happy with it, didnt want it low just wanted a nice even arch gap at the front which I got and happy with the back as well. I know itll settle a bit more but thats fine by me. The ride quality still seems to be pretty much the same but slightly bouncier and deffo corners better so very pleased!

Any comments welcome
John

Yeah I mean it sort of bounces when you hit wee holes cos its harder, if that makes sense!!

Next up is shocks and then random colourcoding (everything but bump strips!)

Cheers Dan and Shaun

Yeah i know what you mean , you feel the bumps a lot more (rattles to come next LOL)

I like the idea of colourcoding without doing the bumpstrips kinda breaks up the colour a bit , thats what im gonna do when i can get some replacement mirror coveras, handles etc... Polybushes next for me tho..

Needs mk1 172 oz wheels :)
Na think they look too small on mk2 cos the spokes dont go to the rims, my mate Djw Dave has them on his mk1 and they really suit it.

Been for a wee drive tonight and the back has really sat down a lot more, front is very slightly lower now.

Cheers for all the comments

Thats why you want the 16" versions of the OZ wheels then :D

john i put the spax fully adjustable kit on last week.

handles so well, but its still a pretty harsh ride.

Hoping the shocks settle down, I heard it can take upwards of 2k miles :(

Quite funny when you set the shocks to full hard, you cant even rock the car hehe:)

Ill get some pics later!

Cool, Ive got some gmax gas rear shocks so thats why the back hasnt changed much and got some front ones in the pipeline.

There apex 40mm springs and just how I wanted it, happy with the wheels as well, coupled with the F1 tyres it really corners!

Cool Malky, you still down 60mm?

Forgot to say cheers to kdf for the spring compressors will bring them along on Sunday.

Cheers for all the good comments! Yeah see your point, F1 Cups in 16" would look good but theres a snowballs chance in hell of it happening, not nearly enough cash! Still the dynamique wheels are better than the 14" ten spokes it came with!
