ESP light, dummy question.....

So I've had my 182 for about 12 weeks now and was wondering what the ESP light actually means.....

When the light is off (as in when you start the car), is ESP on or off?

When the light is on it is a warning that the ESP is off. When you boot it in the wet you will see the light flashing this shows that the ESP is working.

Light off, ESP on. Switch the switch so the light is always on - ESP is off.
