driverside xenon light moving up and down constantly

hi all, when i did my cambelt i noticed that my driver side headlight had the automatic adjuster wire disconnected (obviously for a reason) so i connected it back up and found that the headlight aim is constantly moving up and down. the passenger side is all connected and is working fine. is this fault usually caused by the level sensor at the rear bumper?
