Differences in 172 blocks, and PAS set-ups.

  Renault Clio Super 1600
I'm not exactly sure which, i'm sure some on here that are, but with some Cup models not having a PAS pump driven off the AUX belt, how do the blocks differ, or are they all the same externally from a mountings point of view with just variation on the supporting brackets?

Also, what runs the PAS on cars without PAS on the AUX belt?

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers.

Hi, all 1*2's come with power steering however 172's and 182's come with air con and a spring tensioner on the aux set up.

172 cup's come with pas but no air con, this Is where you see the difference in aux mounts as the cup runs a tensioner you can adjust manually.

All the mounting points on the blocks are the same.

Cars you have seen without pas have been converted to a Epas setup, if you do a search for 'Epas' there's a guide on how to convert to that setup.
