"Device connected"

I bought my 197 last week. One of the many options is the iPhone connector block that is attached to the side of the glovebox. It has a few connections and one cable connects to the iPhone. When I connect the iPhone to the cable, the songs can be controlled via the stalk, etc... but the songs are not displayed on the iPhone but a message "Device connected". The tracks used to be displayed on the iPhone with the aftermarket cable I bought from Matt at MT Audio for the 172.

So for those have the connector block on the 197, is this normal? If not, how do I sort it?

That's how the Tunepoint does it in my Laguna also.

Oh ok. I PM'd Matt @ MT Audio and he said that is how Renault have programmed them. Grrr. Idiots.

I know it's ghey - I'm putting in a new double DIN HU soon with direct iPod control and plan to dump the TP on eBay. It serves a purpose but so did my old Nokia.
