[Dec 7, 2014] Evo triangle North west & west mids drive (Llangollen)

Really enjoyed today! little bit chilly and wet but everyone still managed to get a decent drive in. Wish I'd have come in my own car though! really miss driving, even for just one day!

When we arrived at the ponderosa, we found a VXR meet was already underway. (Nice lads, they ended up inviting us to lap North Wales with them)





After everyone arrived we had a nice steady (held up) drive from the ponderosa to the foot of the triangle, meeting at the top for pics, a chat, and to wait for the west mids lot.



And then it snowed/hailed



There's a bit more to come after food, photobucket is pissing me off.

We ended up taking turns doing a lap and waiting for the rest, there was very little traffic on the triangle which was brilliant. The VXR lot gave us a nice symphony as they convoyed past and the snow only lasted 10 minutes or so. All in, a good day out for us.

Sadly, the West Midlands lads had a spot of bother so couldn't meet us before we gave in to the cold and left.

I tried to catch you two up on the way home but I got caught behind that qashqai.

Bit too wet this morning and the hail which put me off driving the triangle. However, had an amazing drive back through Whitchurch and Audlem.

Yeah it was pretty slippery over the triangle, had plenty of wheel spin and torque steer moments going over it lol

Well it was a chilly one today bitter cold but still a good drive. Some of my mates in the vxr owners club who were also on trip to the triangle give us a good convoy and a blast passed on the top great day out good views here is some pictures.






Got to the bottom of the junction and the vxrs were all parked up as I give it some stick down there turned round they took two photos of my Clio and put it on the vxr owners forum haha.




It was a pitty some of you missed out it was a good day beside the weather which was cold and hale stone but when it cleared itbwas great. Hopefully get another one sorted before or after Christmas.

Of course, I'll put a feeler out in the new year and see how the weather is before setting a date.
