Cruise control buttons - are they backlit?

Maybe a silly question, but should the +/- and R/O buttons on the steering wheel light up when the rest of the lights are on? I've just bought a second hand 03 Clio and they are not backlit, whilst just about every other conceivable button and switch on the dash is!

No , they aren't backlit on the steering wheel .

Thats fair enough - just looking for potential faults on this car as I've only had it for two weeks
