computer beeping and nothing happening

hi guys, got a spare computer i was gonna give to my grandad. but when i turn it on nothing happens on the screen, the computer just beeps at me. and idea what could be wrong?

its not continues beeps, more like beeeep beep beep. if that makes any difference, oh and its a packard bell

Depending on BIOS type that's either ram or graphics card. Try reseating both.

If no luck take the CMOS battery out, and power from the mains then plug it back in and try again.

simply need to unplug and plug them back in ?

Check RAM hasnt unclipped.. even slightly unchipped it wont boot

if nothing is coming on the screen and the PC has a graphics card, see if the motherboard has a vga socket to eliminate that.

just took the ram out and the fans and everything and gave it all a good clean, put it back together and jobs a goodun, cheers guys
