Chop & Change Fuel Grade

  Clio 182
Hey,
I know I only have a lil Clio but I tried Optimax in my car the other day and noticed a significant decrease in fuel consumption. I now get about an extra 50 miles per tank. Avg 35mpg.
My question is, is it bad for the engine to keep changing the grade (RON) of fuel you use?

Thanks,
Mark.

yeah, that'l teach me to read posts properly then ;) i always used optimax in my other car for that very reason. Think it worked about the same, the extra MPG more or less cancelled out the extra cost so you might as well.
