Changing gearbox/clutch - what else?

Clutch is shot on my 197 and as the gearbox has to come out to change the clutch, I'll also be sticking a refurbished box in when @NorthloopCup isn't as busy as he is currently.

It'll be the first time I've done something on this scale so I've given myself 8 weeks.. 😂

To be fair, I haven't given myself a time limit but as long as it's back on the road for about April then I'm happy.

What else is worth doing while the box is out? Will anything be made easier while it is?

Check for leaks on the crank seal.

Stick a diff in it :wink:

Diff is worth 10x the value of the car right now mate! Did debate it but I decided I'm just going to throw my wallet in the river when I next walk passed it, same outcome but less effort!

They're miles cheaper than the mk2 diffs.

I reckon aftermarket valve caps are worth more than the car right now!

Clutch needs doing, need a new front and rear bumper, numerous faults on the dashboard (Check emissions, ABS fault, injection fault).. that's just the beginning..
