Fred, is it possible to fit timing belt wrong, since having mine done 3 weeks ago by dealer its seems to missing(flat spots) rough idle, loss of power when accelarating, also just changed coils packs put obd on it no faults or codes, its back at dealer as we speak and it didnt show any but they agree theres a misfire, starting to do my feckin nut in,just keep thinking they might have donald ducked it up.

Birchdown lads did mine a few weeks ago. They said the old one was out of time, which was done at a Renault dealer. It was like that for 5 years then...

It now runs loads better, doesn't die when first started from cold, isn't as hesitant, smoother idle, a different car really. It was an absolute mare in traffic as the lumpy idle made it kangaroo in 1st, so I had be on and off the clutch all the time. Quite waring after 5 hours stuck on the A30/M5/M6.

Fred spot on ,belt was done wrong, now done correctly with proper renault tool, and the service manager had to eat a big piece of humble pie(t**t).p.s feels like a new car.

I had mine done at birchdown and the service they carried out was great. Also heard nothing but praise about fred as well. Is worth traveling further to get it done right imo :)

Glad you got this sorted. Wonder just how many times this happens, as mine really is loads better. My dad had the belts changed on a Lancia turbo, which eventually sized due to getting too hot. Turned out timing was out.
