Bridge sub £200?

  BMW X5
Hi all,

I'm new to this and I have a few things coming up this year I would like a good camera for.

I was just wondering what the general concensus for the best bridge cam, sub £200 is? Looking just over (£230) I have found the Nikon P500, but I'm not sure if that's my best bet?

I really want to get great macro shots with it, I know thats difficult without an SLR, but hoping I might be able to get something close?

Many thanks for any help,

Dave

Are the Fuji cameras in budget?

I had an s9500 as my first camera, I think it's the s9600 now. It may even be something completely different now, but they are pretty good cameras I think.

(read some reviews too!)

I think bridge cameras are massively pointless.

Either get a proper camera and learn how to use it or buy a Lumix and don't.

Hmmm... I have seen the SLR Sony Alpha A200 in my price range... I think thats a proper SLR? Will that be any good or are there better (in my price range!)?

Thanks,

Dave

You'll get a second hand Nikon D40 for your budget I'd have thought.

Canon or Nikon only. Don't bother with Sony.
