Awesome! Nice to see it out where it should be :)

If it helps, I think it must have been alignment related, or something else is up chap, as the Gripper in mine doesn't create vibration on high speed cornering. Although this may be the set up differing. I recognise mine isn't being pushed as hard as you racing, but on track at Bedford it didn't have vibration as you have described on any of the corners (although they aren't long, high speed sweeping ones) and turn in was fine and very responsive.

Thanks Oli :) I keep thinking about it but I don't think the vibration is the diff. I have put the car on a shaker setup and we can't find any play in the suspension joints so i'm thinking it must be the slight play in the AST damper shafts :( I just can't see i'm going to have time to take them off and send them off before Mallory so will have to check they aren't too bad and run it!

So first day off where i've had some time in ages so been trying to get organised for the Mallory race in a few weeks. Tyres all ready to go so have moved my attention onto spares. I didn't really carry many spares last season but this year most of my testing will be done the day before races so if I have an issue I need to carry some spares. I have worked through today what I have got:

Dogbone mount
HT Leads
Coilpack
Ball joints
TRE's
Alternator
Wet brake pads
Wheels and tyres
Wheels nuts and studs
Wiring bits and bobs
Aux belts
Selection of nuts, bolts etc

The other things I have been thinking of are as follows:

Bottom arms
Starter motor
Megane injector (Just 1 enough?)
Front and rear brake pads
Steering arms
Oil filter
Driveshaft gaitor
Wheel bearings
Hub nuts
Coolant temp sensor
Throttle position sensor
Air temp sensor
Throttle cable
Puremotorsport bearings
Driveshafts
Crank sensor
Clutch cable
Engine mounts
Clutch?
Front and rear brake disc's?

The problem is the list can be endless and I only have so much space in the tow car for stuff. Not sure weather to not bother with any of it and just face the fact of missing a race weekend for lack of bits or stump up now and get most the common bits. Can anyone think of any important bits i've missed?

Thanks :)

James

Yes mate going to book it in a minute just got to total up the damage from ordering the spares today :dead:

Having a BBQ Friday night if you fancy some cremated food? It's about time I repay the favour of all the food you gave me last year :)

I can still ask Javelin if they'll let us do a car swap at lunchtime?

Be good if you can ask, Javelin are usually very good at that sort of thing.

Let me know asap honey x.
I'm pretty certain they will say yes but we will just have to pay for an extra driver which is £20! I'm going to book it now and then i'll try speak to them on the way to work tomorrow :)

Also have you seen the new timetable since we have got our own race? I have looked but can't find it :(

So Mallory race all entered, Trackday the day before booked and most of the spares ordered :) What a blinkin expensive day lol! Can't wait though will be great to get out competitively in the car and see how it does.

Massive thanks to Adam at Wolves Renault Parts he always takes the time to reply to my emails and spends time on the phones making sure I have the right bits :) My postie isn't going to be happy with me at the amount of stuff I have ordered lol

So testing on the 2nd and racing on the 3rd of August. Everyone is welcome and it sounds like it should be a good one as quite a few people coming along to watch! I'm camping Friday night and having a BBQ so anyone fancying making a bit of a weekend of it let me know and I'll get some extra food.

Thanks
James

Great BOSS championship on as well! Some cracking Fords in that, ex touring car RS500 Cossie and a beautiful sounding Mk2 Escort last year and a mate in a Mk5 RS2000

  182/RS2/ Turbo/Mk1
Hopefully should be able to make the 3rd August if you need anyone to be pit b**ch or just for general moral support :)

Sounds like a plan Phil, lets take something with aircon though, 2 fat blokes sweating in your cup isnt going to be pleasant for anyone.

Nice one Tony thanks :)

Can't miss a BBQ! Lol
Great stuff :) look forward to catching up with you Mike!

Great stuff thanks mate! Could do with lots of pairs of hands for quali but other than that should be okay thank you.
I'll come down on the 3rd too

That PDF timetable - is the main race really only 15 minutes long?

Chip - we could go down together if you want :)
Be good to see you Phil :) yes but we have 2 15 minute races.

Massive thanks to Nick at Puremotorsport for taking the time to chat with me for a while this afternoon and share his wealth of knowledge. Helped me get to the bottom of few things and also gave me some setup advice and tips moving forwards. Got a selection of shims ordered and also a couple of spare bearings :) Good to see Nick is still working hard and developing even more products for the Clio's. I've certainly got a little list of bits I want from them when funds and time allow!

Other than that just been building a comprehensive spares package! I think I could nearly build another car I have that many parts on their way to me.
