Battery died, replaced it, now new airbag fault?

Since my battery died and i replaced it i now have a new Airbag fault, plugged the RS Tuner in and this is what i got:

'DTC9044, DF0187 - Ignition (trigger) Line Configuration (Incoherency, not plausable)'

Unlike other faults the RS Tuner won't clear this one? Anyone have any idea's what it could be/ how to fix it?

I know disconnecting battery's on vw's brings on lights randomly that can take a while to go out and can't be erased. Not sure what it means but I'd turn it off and start it a couple of times and drive it. If not could need other diagnostic equipment to erase?
