Anybody repair Macbooks? (south east)

Anybody here repair or know somebody who does repairs?

Been offered a 2011 Macbook Pro, only snag is it needs the graphics chip replaced on the logic board, is this a reasonably inexpensive repair? (vs the cost of buying a new macbook)

Any help/advice much appreciated

I think the 2011 models were plagued with this issue and so Apple were offering free repairs. Could be completely wrong tho.

Just had a look, seems Apple turned a blind eye to the problem unless it was covered under Apple care
