Advice on buying 1.2 Clio?

I wouldn't worry about the missing early history, it has only had 2 owners so has probably been a solid car if it all seems in good nic in inspection. As long as the HPI check comes out clear I'd be happy. You can check with Renault what work has been done under warranty (I've never done this, not sure if you need a plate or more and there is a fee).

Sounds decent, I have no idea what the going rate for this model is though.

That looks a nice car and is priced fairly.

I've just had a cambelt done on a 1.2 16v clio and all in cost me £170. Peanuts really.

Ok, thanks. The only thing was that after checking the service history I couldn't see whether the aux belt had been changed - it may have been done before 29,000 miles, but not sure. When should it be changed, and do you know how much it would cost to change?

Would anyone be able to do a HPI check on it for us too?
Edit: Don't worry, just done one. It all came out clear.

We got a quote for cambelt and Aux belt from Two Tech's Dartford for ~ £275

Any help with what offer we should go in for would be appreciated!
