2001 Clio Dynamique - Clicking sound

Hi there,

Have been trying to sort this problem out on my Clio for a few weeks now but haven't managed to work out what's causing it?

I've got this funny clicking/ticking sound coming from the O/S front wheel area of the car that starts at about 30mph and speeds up with the cars speed, it sounds like a stone caught in the tread but I've inspected the tires for this and found bugger all!

The car itself is a 2001 Clio 1.2 16valve (Dynamique), done 48k any ideas what this sound is? Any help would be appreciated as it's driving me f*****g insane! :(

Wheel bearing or CV joint. Most likley CV joint..
Does it happen more when at lock?

No it's present regardless of steering position. Brakes are very squealy at the moment not sure if that would be another symptom of the same problem?

take it to renault!! lol
i dunno, usually wheel bearings drone and CV joints only click whet turning!!!???

Take your brakes to bitsa and have a look, the squealing could just be gathered up brake dust!
