200, dashboard fadeing

The part of the dash where you can scroll through the various trip computer messages is fading. The symbol underneath where it shows if any doors are open is fine. I've had a quick search and can't find anything about this, has anybody else had it before? I'm thinking it might be a dash out job?

Sounds strange, sure it's not the dimmer switch accidently been adjusted?

Don't think so. Anyway, it was ok today. Odd!
