expect a shock

ie not as advertised ;)

But don't all clios have that problem? As standard of course, no mods.

I know not to expect too much though!!!! Bf getting his 225 rr too - last time he had it done, it was giving out 232 as standard, he's had a hayward and scott exhaust fitted since, so be interesting if that makes much of a difference.

im sure ive seen a few peeps on one of te forums commenting that their 197 was pretty underpowered as well, was around 180ish iirc

In fairness No, many 172's (mine included) made over the book power (pre mods) when it was tested. Many 182 also struggle to make book power in the the same way some may exceed book power too. The same can be said of the 197, out of interest how many miles has yours done now? Bearing in mind the engines only really get going after 10-25K.

How much to they charge ??
I've never heard of them before & Lakeside's not that far from me.

Its £95 for an hour, but they said to have one reading done £40. Not the best price i don't think, but its about 5 mins from me.

If you drive past with ikea on ya left and B&Q on ya right, theres a mini roundabout at the end of the road, go right, then first left - theres a few units, then its next door to Bad Boys Toys.

Cups make their power as a rule, no power sapping aircon etc. most R/R threads seem to back this up

majority of RR you're looking at around 30/40 quid a run , but some as cheap 25 quid that i can remember .

  SMURF!!!
tbh ....... you never can get true readings from rolling roads

Torque developments use those ones that bolt on to the wheels, so hopefully be a bit more accurate.... but all will be seen on saturday i guess!!!

If its real down, ill blame it on the machinery ;)

then expect a low reading, then go back at 10k and see whats what.

Yeah good idea, going to see what they can offer performance wise too as thats what they specialise in. They have their own diablo in the show room too!!!

Its a bloody shame as i think the 197 look awesome! Thats why i'm 90% leaning to the dark side at the mo. They tend to make their power, and bolt on mods give proven good HP gains

Well my 182 went on a Dyno Dynamics RR when it was at about 16k, and got 163 I think...

Wanna try it again now its a bit looser!

this is from renaulstsport.co.uk, topic by phill bennet

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica] As promised...

Took my 197 to WRC so we could get some power figures off my car. I understand that a rolling road will create a separate debate but its not going to be a million miles away, so...

The 197 makes 160bhp at the wheels which is then reckoned to be around 193 at the flywheel.

My car has 12K miles under it and runs on standard 95RON fuel.

So it would seem that Renault's figure of 197 is there or thereabouts...

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]So it's about 13 bhp at the flywheel then the 182...i think!
