  Whichever has fuel
No mention of history or cambelt/waterpump. And it's done 100,000 miles.

I'd say that was a fair price.

It does say full service history, but I doubt the belts have been done. It could be a bargain, it could be a nail - who knows. £3,800 is a very good price in my opinion even with 97k on the clock if it's in ok condition.

Seems alright, there was an Albi up for 4k on PH the other week. 75k miles iirc. Not worth much these days and not cheap to run!

Good spec. £3500 on the car, £1000ish to make sure everything is alright. Hero spec r27 for £4500 :)

Still Cat D though.... so only ever going to be worth 70% of a non cat d. Ok if you plan on keeping it forever but not if you plan on selling it on. I'd rather be spending £6k on a decent, non damaged lower mileage car personally

I dont think it needs avoiding, still a nice car and still cheap even with Cat D, just accept its worth less when you sell it too, but as you have paid less thats no real loss.

I'd buy that as a project car if i wanted a mk3 I reckon. (although would still try and haggle lower price on the basis of Cat D and no belt proof

Agreed Chip. I posted something ages about buying V cars. It's a great way into a car you might not be able to afford.

True, what's annoying are the people who don't declare it & still ask going rate money  t*ssers!

Cat D is no problem, most cars will have suffered Cat D damage at some point, very few will have gone through insurance.
Cat D is a way of buying very cheap cars imo, as long as you check them over properly - No problem.
