172 Immobiliser problem

All of a sudden my immobiliser has decided to stop working. The little red light keeps flashing at me and the car wont start. Ive tried both my keys many times and no luck

Anyone know whats up and how it can be fixed?

Sound like the key isnt talking to the imobiliser.

Itrs most likly the transponder ring its a common failing.

replace it. remove steering column cowling and the transponder ring surrounds the ing barrel.
