glad for this photo...my fogs weren't working, i know they had before...the bloody fog light fuse was missing (guess someone's been playing silly buggers with me). i knew which slot it was & i obviously have spare fuses, but not what strength fuse should go in...stupid service book didn't tell...
if you don't care about the old gear knob...and probably don't as you have a new one...clamp some vice grips or something on the knob & twist it back & forth...it will come off.
that's what i did...they are jammed on pretty damn well
nice tidy looking unit...still odd to me seeing a non sport 3...
lol...aussie summers sound like a good idea until you're in it. still being around 30 degrees celcius at midnight gets old real fast.
bring a clio V6 with you...rare as hens teeth here, and priced as such...the once in a blue moon that they sell
looks like i have this job to do as well...had my clio for almost 18 months with no blower.
replaced the resistor pack...no go
just got a new fan motor from renparts...cost me $112 aussie cash (including shipping)...renault dealer in sydney wanted a criminal $886
new fan motor thingo in this...
could only dream about a V6...clio's aren't common in australia...a V6? as far as i know there's about 5 or 6 in the country...and aussie car import laws make it fairly impossible to bring one in
Re: SUPER 1600 REPLICA based on 172, CLIO WILLIAMS Tribute, CLIO WILLIAMS IV (Austra
go aussie. love it mate.
love to see a great clio in this wide brown land, not too many about.
i'm nearly 18 months into clio pride, keep up the good work mate...it's inspiring.
could you be any better at...
i dig the place primarily because i'm digging the clio...and on this forum, there is still attention paid to those of us with non-sports.
on other forums you're made to feel worthless if you have a non-sport version
it's not anywhere near as common, or as cheap a car in australia...it's...
in the land down under, it's a real love/hate relationship with a frog
parts & servicing are crazy expensive...not enough of them on the road here, and not every mechanic will work on them...need anything more than a basic service you just get referred to a euro specialist
but in any case it...
not anything special in the cars here, my 1.6 privilege (on the right with the yellow plates)...but trust me, seeing 2 near identical clios in the outer western suburbs of sydney is unreal, they're not real common out here...and to see one the same colour made me smile
location, location, location. too far from the airport for the rich boys to bother travelling. no other reason really, maybe the F1 cars just can't handle the bumpy surface for a whole race
personally i'd love it, bathurst is less than 2 hours drive for me
not into the illegal stuff, hate big spoilers, and love how much cheaper 15 inch tyres are...so we're all good there.
search functions are the easy way, i know that...guess all there is left is to look into paid membership.
thanks mate
thanks for the warm welcome guys, the ford australia forums i've been on in recent years aren't the most friendly place for newibies. i like this place even more now
G'day...the call me Halfmo, and i have a 2003 1.6 Clio Privilege.
my first renault...mostly been driving big aussie boats forever, but fuel costs in those big fellas were slaying me
got my clio about 5 months ago, and i love it. just clocked up 60,000kms...what's that, 35,000 miles? something...
