As in title, the car won't start. Worked absolutely fine yesterday, came out to a frozen car this pm. Turns over well about 5/6 times and then just stops. Doesn't fire at all. Trying with any throttle just cuts out the starter instantly.
I'm guessing it's some kind of electrical gremlin brought...
Fantastic stuff!
There's a thread on PH from one of the senior engineers which is well worth a read if you're at all interested in the engineering behind it...

A bit more at around £500, but we've had a new style btm for about 2 months. Great noise, not much louder than standard, and a massive improvement over the droning powerflow we had before.
I see it this way from what has been said.
You asked them to replace the engine. They did and you paid.
You found a leaking sump gasket, you asked them to fix it and they did.
They gave you the car back, and an error at the garage allowed you to take the car before paying. You still owe them...
Watching it back, yeah. I agree, they weren't there to swap insurance - it seemed like biker wanted to make clear their dislike of the RR's driving.
They group around the RR, one of them is clearly having words, and then pulls infront and slows down to bring RR to a stop. At 30-55 seconds you...
This seems to be the actual original video; if you look through this guys other videos from the same day (numbered sequentially, and all uploaded within last 24 hours) it seems like there's a large number of bikers all over the road with little or no regard for the traffic around them. Can...
we generally just stick ours in the back, but we're looking at a euro-tour for summer next year so a decent rack would be good...which one do you use Dave? I thought Thule just did roof bars?
I had similar issues. Only really an issue in cold weather too, pressure would drop 15-20 PSI in a few days.
When the tyres were eventually replaced the guy asked if I'd been having problems with losing air pressure regularly - turns out the inside of the rim where the tyre bead sits had...
I'm not loyal to any brand, including Apple. I'm not an Apple hater, likewise not a fanboy. I've never owned an Apple product. I have used them regularly, and they are fantastic. Very slick etc. I don't get the blind 'I will ONLY buy Apple' hysteria surrounding them though.
I went through...
i'm with lovefilm and have been for about a year, unlimited package (3 discs at a time max, films/games, unimited per month, online streaming). the free to watch online catalogue isn't always brilliant but they do have some great films on there if you want to pay a little extra - it's cheaper...
we bought a tz18. dad's got a tz10 which he's owned for a couple of years. great point and shoot, i'm no photographer but the ease of use and image quality on the tz10 was what sold the panasonic to us. like i say, we opted for the tz18 rather than the then new tz20 - essentially the same camera...
cheers mate - i read about all that just after I had fitted them! doh!
re: the 'socket fix'. I'm not a fan personally; cable ties shouldn't really be used for a loaded (particularly cyclic loading) application. they are only temporary, when the cable ties fail there's nothing to hold the sockets...
Just a quick update to this...
I bought the OEM mount replacement kit from the ebay link above (fantastic service by the way!), along with some new 58mm exhaust clamps from Parkers, some fresh nuts/washers etc.
As I said above I couldn't get the new mount to fit whichever way around I put it...
i've now bought the original mounts from the ebay link above, but no matter which way around I put it I can't position the mount holes over more than 2 studs. all of the threads i've read say you need to bolt it to 3 of them to fix in place - how? anyone able to quickly post a pic of their's in...
hi mate - climate sensor fan info is here - it would be worth checking that this isn't the problem with yours...

I see what you're saying. Thats a bit of a PITA.
Im figuring what I might do is replace the mounts with the ebay ones, and re-customise (cut and re-weld) the hangers so that they meet the new mounts to fix it all in place in the short term - long term, replace the f**ker!
Thanks for your help...
tell me about it. it's a mess. it's loud too. changing to a new system might have to wait a month or 2 tho...
Thats awesome, cheers for the link mate - the hanger after the cat i presume is the smaller one pictured, and the other two fix to the studs near the tips?
hi all - could really do with some help please.
the exhaust on my 182 is an aftermarket put on by the previous owner - a Powerflow S/S jobbie. It's started hanging lower and bouncing around recently so I thought i'd have a look and replace the rubbers...after looking, and searching through...

yep mine does this too - our noise is coming from the plastic housing above my head, behind the rear view mirror. ask a passenger to push up on it with a little pressure and it muffles/disappears! the speed it comes in at varies too, sometimes its at around 60-65, most of the time at or around...
I've owned both - mk2 16v golf, oak green with rainbow interior was my first car and i had it for 4-5 years, covered around 60,000 miles in it. Loved it; it went to south of france and back, indecently practical, fun to drive, reasonably economical (28-32mpg on a run; pushed to 40 once on a...
theres more info about his financing, and more interestingly, the car on Pistonheads.com - thats who he's doing these new video segments called Drive for. he's moved from EVO and is now columnist/video's man for PH. not a bad journo to get for what was essentially an online forum just a few...
cheers edde. so whats the GSF parts database showing him then I wonder? had a search of the GSF online parts catalogue but no sign of any cables, ah well.
it seems that ECP supply them. website is a lot easier to use too.
Hi - anyone know if GSF do a o/s handbrake cable for a 2004/54 182? if so what's the part number...?
guy on the phone didn't seem to think so for a car with ABS? all have ABS don't they?:S
